- Beltway News - East Lake and West Orange counties are working on a road initiative due in one year. Silver Star, Maguire road and Old Winter Garden roads are already scheduled. Red Bug is in the news and Narcoosee, located just outside of the airport, is under construction as pipe crews lay new water mains and prepare the new entrance for the airport to the suburb.
The Florida Department of Transportation DOT State Fl leads to Maps, travel info and safety programs. I-4 Expansion- During the next 30 years Interstate 4 will be widened from Polk county to Daytona Beach. The State Department of Transportation is expected to spend two billion on the project. Lake Mary (Northeast Orl) otherwise known as Heathrow gets a sweeping new I-4 ramp ramp and the South Orlando corridor is also booming. The I-4 - East West Expressway Interchange has been funded, a huge project which will begin soon. Expect a lot of noise from this Orlando bottleneck. Who will get the bid? Southland or Herbert, I mean Hubbard :-)? Goldenrod road is to be extended all the way to the airport, I've seen the plans, another alternative is also making the trip.
